About us
Kunafa is a traditional Middle Eastern dessert made with thin noodle-like pastry, or alternatively fine semolina dough, soaked in sweet sugar-based syrup, and typically layered with cheese or other ingredients such as clotted cream or nuts.
It all started with an idea and a dream; to bring this autentic dessert that is only found in the Middle East to Canada. As a child, I grew up around the beautiful aromas that would fill our house-hold when my mother used to bake these delicious sweets. Years later, we arrived in Canada and began to forget the smell of freshly baked Kunafa. It was this moment when we knew we had to bring the culture and taste of the Middle East to Hamilton, Ontario.
